The Floyd E. Meier Scholarship and Development Fund seeks to increase the impact of Bible
quizzing in two ways. First, as initially established, the fund provides an annual scholarship to
one or more C&MA Bible quizzers who are preparing for full-time Christian ministry. Second,
churches or Bible quizzing districts desiring to expand the ministry of Bible quizzing may apply
for a one-time development grant to be paid out of the fund. The application and selection
criteria for both of these amounts are outlined below

Floyd E. Meier ScholarshipThe C&MA Quizzing Leadership Team (“CQLT”) uses the following criteria to select the annual scholarship recipient(s):
The amount of the scholarship is generally $1,000 but may vary depending on the number of recipients, current balance of the Meier fund, and prevailing money market conditions. Scholarship funds will be payable directly to the post-secondary institution designated by the applicant and will be applied to tuition expenses. |
Floyd E. Meier Development GrantThe CQLT may also approve one-time development grants for the purpose of expanding the ministry of Bible quizzing in churches and Bible quizzing districts. Quizzing groups interested in applying for this amount should complete and submit the Development Grant Proposal Form for consideration by the CQLT. Development grants may be requested at any time. However, interested groups should apply well in advance of when they require the funds to allow the CQLT sufficient time to evaluate their proposal.
